Note: Before going to the book list you must know that you have to read NCERT Books or State Board Books at least to understand the basic concepts and basic knowledge. The NCERT Books or State Board Books are not compulsory to read but are necessary, because whenever you will enter into the world of competitive examinations then you will not be able to read the NCERT Books or State Board Books if you will prepare for District Level Exams, State Level Exams as well as Country Level Exams simultaneously.

Note: I am not considering UPSC CSE Exam at all. If you are preparing for both UPSC and MPSC exams then you have to read different books or these books and other standard books.

Before Coming to the book for this type of subject you have to clear one thing is that without practicing it on your notebook or anything else you won’t get satisfaction of preparation for this subject. It’s also said that this is not that hard subject means without study you can grab 5-7 marks out of 15 marks but the question is that  “Will you manage cut off ?” because nowadays the cut off is unpredicted and higher than the previous years. There are multiple reasons to high cut off in all MPSC Exams.

But if you are preparing simultaneously for Mains and Prelim but your main focus is on mains then its good.
