HOw to Calculate ASO/STI/PSI Prelim Marks ? it is not same as MPSC Rajyaseva Exam.

Hello Everyone! Welcome to MPSC Material Website. Do you know the negative marking scheme of all Examinations…? Absolutely not..! But the negative marking system is not for all competitive examinations like SET Exam. But lots of examinations have negative marking system.

jump directs to the topics : HOw to Calculate ASO/STI/PSI Prelim Marks ?

There are 2 types of negative marking systems.

1) 1/3 Negative Marking System

2) 1/4 Negative Marking System

The 1/3 Negative marking system means if you failed to write correct answer then you will get penalty of 1/3 marks from total marks allotted to that question. Here 1/3 means 33% From actual Marks of That Question and here 33% Means 0.33 Marks if the question is of 1 Marks where if question is of 2 marks then you will get penalty of 33% means 0.66 Marks out of 2 Marks of that question. And if the question is of 2.5 Marks then the 33% Penalty for 2.5 would be 0.82 (Not approximate- you can take round figure for approximation) Marks.

The Summery of above text is

1 Mark Question— 0.33 Marks Deduction.

2 Marks Question- 0.66 Marks Deduction.

2.5 Marks Questions- 0.82 Marks Deduction.

The 1/4 Negative marking system means if you failed to write correct answer then you will get penalty of 1/4 marks from total marks allotted to that question. Here 1/4 means 25% From actual Marks of That Question and here 25% Means 0.25 Marks if the question is of 1 Marks where if question is of 2 marks then you will get penalty of 25% means 0.50 Marks out of 2 Marks of that question. And if the question is of 2.5 Marks then the 25% Penalty for 2.5 would be 0.62 (Not approximate- you can take round figure for approximation) Marks.

The Summery of above text is

1 Mark Question— 0.25 Marks Deduction.

2 Marks Question- 0.50 Marks Deduction.

2.5 Marks Questions- 0.62 Marks Deduction.

So these are the two penalty systems for any competitive examinations and you know in some of the exams you have decisions making questions which are excluded from the penalty system even if you get 0 marks.

Now Come to the Main Part of the Question:

How to Calculate Marks of ASO/STI/PSI Prelim?

In The Hall ticket of the exam you will notice that they have given the sentence of penalty for wrong question. See the notice no. 24 in the exam hall ticket. That statement suggests that there is 1/4 System of negative Marking means 0.25 Marks for 1 Question. They have mentioned that for 4 wrong answers you will get penalty of 1 correct answer means 1 Mark.

Let’s see the calculation.

Suppose you have attempted 80 Questions in the MPSC ASO/STI/PSI Prelim Examination.

And

Attempts: 80 Questions

Right Questions 60 Questions= (1 X60)60 Marks

Wrong Questions 20 Questions= (20X0.25)5 Marks

So, Your Final Marks are 60-5=55 Marks

Keep in mind that the above calculation is imaginary and you may get 0 wrong questions if you want. And if you will play with circles you may get 60 Wrong and 20 Corrects it’s not that easy to get right without any knowledge and practice and if any experience.

I Hope you got what you want about calculation of marks of MPSC ASO STI PSI prelim exam. If you want to tell something special about this exam about your experience you can put your comment in the comment box. Do share your experience with others it helps others to take care of it. And tell the standard of this prelim exam and do not predict the cutoff of this exam. By the way the cut of this exam will be different for each post means there will be different cut of for the ASO, Different Cut off for the STI and Different Cut off for PSI Prelim. And the highest cut of will be for ASO and then STI and thereafter PSI this is just assumption.

The mains exam of ASO is on 10th December 2017, STI Mains is on 7th January 2018 and PSI mains is on 5th November 2017.

Now little bit about cut for entire exam, if you will get 65 marks With First Key then You will be in the list that’s sure…! And the minimum marks for cut will be around 45-55 Marks this is all for Open category. By the way the cut off may go low as 30-35-40 but its depends on you all candidates who have attempted this paper so no one can predict cut off marks but we can tell safe marks but it’s also bad for others because sometime the safe marks and the attempted questions are not equals to your safe score.

Share this with your competitor friends and wherever you want so that they will get benefit from this post and they may share to others.

Thank You…!

And Best of Luck For Your Result and Mains Exam…
